My Purpose

I am a catalyst for people and organizations to help them have absolute clarity about their own purpose. Clarity of purpose is the foundation of growth and learning, and provides rich, meaningful pathways to solve some of the most complex problems. Clarity enables perseverance through leadership setbacks and ground us during ambiguous and uncertain times. One’s purpose can shift with life and career changes, opening new channels of learning, improving health and wellbeing, and creating a legacy that reflects your deepest values and contributions to the world.

What Balance means to me

It is about knowing who I am and not just focusing on what I do. I am a lifelong learner as an instrument for growth and transformation, a deeply loyal friend, and a global citizen. I reflect deeply on life’s crucible moments in order to become more aware of the perspectives larger than myself. As I have moved from corporate to startup in my second half of life, I have added greater focus on my own health and wellness.

My Journey

I am an adopted Korean who grew up in a small town in midwestern Minnesota then went on to embrace life’s opportunities of working in global organizations. I have held expatriate roles in five countries between Asia and Europe, and have traveled to over 30 countries for work. I’ve held professional, senior leadership and executive positions for over 20 years with organizations spanning start-up to Fortune 10 in Human Capital and Centers of Expertise. I have served as a volunteer Board Member for organizations focusing on quality education to underserved communities. Currently, I reside in San Francisco, California.

My Purpose

To be a helper. I have spent my life focused on how I can support others to fully realize their potential. My professional roles include clinician, coach, trainer, leader, and founder. They all share a goal of helping people become aware of their greatest potential. I am passionate about supporting others on a continuous journey of learning, reflection, and fulfillment.

What Balance means to me

Perspective. Ultimately, I recognize that life operates with interdependency. We are social beings dependent on each other in community. Balance is all about finding perspective amongst my own ambitions and challenges. When I remove myself from my own narrow worldview, embrace the bigger picture, acknowledge the greater complexity, and admire the magnificence of being a part of something larger than myself, a path to balance always reveals itself.

My Journey

My professional journey began with providing mental health treatment to people suffering from crises of mental illness & addiction. While working in the community crisis field I became interested in improving leadership as a way of improving healthcare delivery systems. I spent several years supporting organizations (Fortune 100, SMBs, & Non-Profits) improving their leadership development programs. My desire to scale my learnings and improve my own leadership skills, led me to a hyper-growth startup at an early stage. Here I led the scaling of learning and development for a network of over 3,000 professional coaches. My journey continues here as a co-founder of PBJ.

My Purpose

I find purpose in guiding leaders to merge personal growth with sound business strategies. My 30-year career in the global tech sector has reinforced my belief that leadership, management, and strategy skills can be cultivated through awareness-building practices and purposeful experiments. By fostering an environment where both the individual and the business thrive, I aim to unlock potential, align strategy, and drive performance, leading to personal satisfaction and business success.

What Balance means to me

Balance, to me, is about harmonizing personal and professional life. I prioritize staying grounded through mindfulness practices and activities in nature while pursuing learning and growth. In my coaching, I believe in striking a balance between sound strategy and inspired leadership, as well as being supportive while challenging my clients to achieve extraordinary results.

My Journey

Over 30-years in the Tech Sector I held various roles spanning software engineering, product and brand marketing (including leading Intel’s “Intel Inside® Program”), business development, and corporate strategy. My journey culminated in leading Intel’s Corporate Strategy Office, reporting to the CEO, and leading a team of senior strategists to drive the transformation of the company. Before starting my own coaching business, I was a full-time executive coach at Intel.

My Purpose

I find purpose in building connection and helping people achieve a deeper sense of self-awareness and fulfillment. I strive to help people navigate the complexity of change and uncertainty, to bring more perspectives into the room, and to empower people to find confidence in their own unique voice and leadership presence.

What Balance means to me

As a new mom to twins, entrepreneur, and a bit of a perfectionist -– striking a balance can be hard! For me, right now, balance is about recognizing when I need to let go and let good be good enough. That’s why I resonate with the design thinking process, a human-centered approach to finding solutions to peoples’ needs. With its emphasis on experimentation and iteration – we can learn so much from asking questions and gathering stories to get to 75%, then test, gather feedback and reflect before reaching 100%.

My Journey

My roots are in higher education and intercultural development, inspired by global explorations to over 25 countries. I have spent over a decade across multiple dimensions of learning and organization development: from faculty development in higher education, to leading executive development programs at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, designing new manager and leadership programs at a high growth company,  and consulting on projects at a Fortune 100 tech firm. I’ve coached individuals and leaders from start-ups, high-growth companies, and nonprofits.
